Former Indian cricketer Sayiraj Bahutule is rejoining Rajasthan Royals as the spin bowling coach after resigning from his position at the National Cricket Academy. He will work alongside Shane Bond and Rahul Dravid in the 2023 season. Sayiraj will also collaborate with Sri Lankan spinners Maheesh Theekshana, Kumar Karthikeya, and Wanindu Hasaranga. Rajasthan Royals management is also interested in purchasing the Trent Rockets team in the England’s Hundred cricket league.

Former Indian cricketer Sayiraj Bahutule is set to rejoin Rajasthan Royals as the spin bowling coach. Having worked with the franchise from 2018 to 2021, Sayiraj recently resigned from his position at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Now, he is rejoining the Rajasthan Royals coaching staff for the upcoming season. Sayiraj will be working alongside New Zealand's bowling coach Shane Bond and head coach Rahul Dravid. He mentioned that he is stepping down from his position at the "Center of Excellence" and is in talks regarding his new role, with responsibilities to be finalized soon. Read more on Vaartha Sports.

Sayiraj expressed his excitement about rejoining the Royals, stating, “I’m excited to reunite with the Royals,” and also mentioned how happy he was to work with Rahul Dravid again. He shared that Dravid was the person who introduced him to the Indian team during the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy and that he was also part of Dravid’s coaching staff during the Sri Lanka tour.

At 52, Sayiraj Bahutule has played two Tests and five ODIs in his career. In the 2023 season, Rajasthan Royals will have bowlers like Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma, Akash Madhwal, and Fazalhaq Farooqi in their lineup. Additionally, Sayiraj will also work with Sri Lankan spinners Maheesh Theekshana, Kumar Karthikeya, and Wanindu Hasaranga during the season.

Rajasthan Royals management has also shown interest in purchasing the Trent Rockets team in the England’s Hundred cricket league, with six new team owners selected for the competition. However, the Southern Brave and Trent Rockets teams are yet to be sold. Manoj Badale, the owner of Rajasthan Royals, also owns the Barbados Royals in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Paarl Royals in South Africa's SA20 League.
