WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Navy says that a SEAL commandant has died from injuries helium got during a grooming mishap successful Virginia.
Naval Special Warfare Command said Wednesday that Cmdr. Brian Bourgeois was injured Saturday.
The 43-year-old fell portion fast-roping down from a helicopter.
Bourgeois was the commanding serviceman of SEAL Team 8.
Rear Adm. H.W. Howard III, commandant of Naval Special Warfare Command, said Bourgeois “was 1 of our precise champion leaders, who possessed each the attributes that marque our unit effective.”
